Vice President, Office of the COO (Hedge Fund/Trading)

Our client is a premier Alternative Investment located in NYC, seeking to add a VP of Strategic Business Operations, this role focuses on analyzing & executing impactful change, operational, and strategic trading initiatives collaborating with various Business Leaders/Executives to optimize trading operations and implement effective strategic change to maximize organizational effectiveness.Primary duties and responsibilitiesThe role entails managing strategic initiatives, crafting senior-level presentations, conducting analysis, developing decision-making models, and driving change within the businessPartner with business leaders for solutions-oriented approach to identifying and solving business operational inefficiencies using technologyDevelop and track KPIs and leading indicators aligned with business and corporate objectivesAssess areas of improvement and initiate solution-oriented recommendations to realigned business objectivesProvide insights and analysis on firm trading operations, and other strategic areasIdentify gaps in execution and work with senior leadership to remedy changeProduce reports for management regarding compliance, regulatory, and risk initiativesManage simultaneous projects prioritizing organizational cohesive alignment withPartner with business leaders to align planning cyclesLed process improvement for firms Trading platformWork with cross-functional teams to execute on business objectivesQualifications7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, strategy consulting/ investment bank, or direct Hedge Fund/Trading/or similar experience.Strong and well-developed analytic, problem-solving, and quantitative skill, with exceptional attention to detailAdvanced quantitative and critical thinking skills with the capacity to quickly learn and develop new reports and analysisWe are looking for a candidate with creative problem-solving and excellent modeling capabilitiesDevelop and implement financial strategies to support the business's growth and profitability objectivesBA/BS degree or equivalent in Engineering/Math/Science/Chemistry, or a related field.Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferredResults-orientation with an ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely mannerDeep understanding of Private Equity/Alternative Asset Management and/or Real Estate requiredCommunicate complex financial concepts and strategies in a clear and concise manner to both financial and non-financial audiencesStrong leadership potential, with excellent inter-personal skills and collaboration abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
