Vice President of Operations (DSO)Location: Hybrid - preferably based in NYC (must be based in one of the following states: CA, FL, GA, HI, IL, MN, MO, NJ, NY, WA)Reports to: CEOAbout UsRising Tide Dental is a fast-growing Dental Support Organization (DSO) seeking a highly organized and proactive Vice President of Operations (VPO) to lead our Operations Team of Regional Managers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys variety, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the dental industry. We are a growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) supporting a network of practices focused on delivering high-quality patient care and strong operational performance. Our model combines clinical autonomy with centralized support, allowing our practices to scale efficiently while maintaining a patient-first culture.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Vice President of Operations to lead and scale our multi-site operations. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—you’ll drive performance across practices while building the systems, leaders, and accountability needed to sustain growth.This is not a purely strategic role. The right person will be equally comfortable in a dashboard review with the CEO and in the field coaching a Regional Manager or troubleshooting practice-level challenges.What You’ll DoOperational LeadershipOversee performance across all supported practices, with accountability for revenue, EBITDA, patient experience, and team engagementBuild and manage a team of Regional Managers / Directors of OperationsEstablish clear operating rhythms (KPIs, scorecards, cadence of accountability)Growth & ScalingPartner with executive leadership on growth strategy, including acquisitions and de novosLead operational onboarding and integration of new practicesIdentify and implement scalable systems and process improvementsPractice PerformanceAnalyze key metrics (production, collections, hygiene reappointment, case acceptance, labor costs) and drive action plansStandardize best practices across locations without over-centralizingPartner with clinical leadership to ensure alignment between operations and patient careLeadership DevelopmentCoach and develop Regional Managers and Practice LeadersBuild a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvementSupport succession planning and bench strength across the organizationCross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate closely with HR, finance, revenue cycle, and marketingEnsure alignment between field operations and corporate initiativesTranslate strategy into clear, executable plans at the practice levelWhat We’re Looking For8–12+ years of multi-site operations leadership experience (DSO, healthcare, retail, or similar)Up to 45% time spent travelingProven experience leading through Regional / District ManagersStrong financial acumen (P&L ownership, KPI-driven management)Experience scaling operations in a high-growth or PE-backed environment preferredAbility to balance standardization with flexibility across practicesHigh ownership mindset with a willingness to be hands-on when neededStrong communication and influence skills across all levels of the organizationWhat Success Looks LikeConsistent performance improvement across practices (growth + margin)Strong, accountable regional leadership teamClear operational infrastructure (KPIs, reporting, cadence)Smooth integration of new acquisitionsImproved patient and employee experienceWhy Join UsOpportunity to shape and scale a growing DSO platformHigh visibility and partnership with executive leadershipAbility to build systems, teams, and culture from the ground up
