Maintenance Electrician
Senior Maintenance MechanicThe Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing electro-mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair activities on a wide variety of CNC and industrial equipment within a ring rolling mill environment. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting a proactive preventative maintenance culture. This is a hands-on role requiring strong diagnostic ability, clear documentation, and collaboration across shifts using a CMMS system.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies.Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Utilize the CMMS system to manage work orders, PMs, and shift handoffs.Diagnose and repair CNC machines, motors, drives, and control systems.Perform PLC diagnostics and basic programming.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.Lubricate equipment, change oils/filters, and service fluids as part of PM programs.Safely operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, scissor lifts, and bucket lifts.Communicate clearly during shift turnover to ensure continuity of work.Support increased preventative maintenance efforts as new and used equipment is brought into the facility.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years journeyman-level experience.Strong experience with CNC repair and electronic controls (Fanuc & Siemens).Proficiency in PLC diagnostics and control logic.Experience with motors, drives, and high-voltage wiring.Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.Willingness to work 3rd shift and occasional overtime/weekends.Comfortable using CMMS systems for documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding and fabrication skills.Machining background.Experience maintaining older or rebuilt equipment.Why Work Here?Join an extremely stable workforce with a 15-year average tenure.
