The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a unified employer brand that resonates across all locations, from the corporate HQ to individual units. This includes designing and implementing HR programs that are scalable and can be easily adopted by franchisees. The role also involves leading talent and organizational development initiatives, such as executive search, succession planning, and the creation of training programs to ensure consistent brand standards. A key aspect of the role is compliance and risk management, particularly in navigating the complexities of joint-employment laws and providing best practice guidance to franchisees. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of NLRB rulings, joint-employer risks, and multi-state labor laws, as well as experience in ensuring that all corporate policies align with legal requirements. Additionally, the VP of HR will be tasked with fostering a high-performance culture at the corporate level and analyzing engagement data to drive strategic interventions. The candidate should have over 10 years of HR leadership experience, preferably within a franchise, fitness, hospitality, or retail model, and hold a Bachelor's degree in HR or business, with SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification being a plus.
