Entry Mobile Repair Technician

Trinity Rail is hiring an Entry Technician, Mobile Repair-Mechanical at our Sunray, TX site.ResponsibilitiesConduct railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.Perform repairs as necessary using current repair procedures.Meet expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure an exceptional customer experience.Ensure all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate and complete; pass any required NDT disciplines and function specific certifications, which may include tank car welding, and demonstrate strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.Actively participate in safety assessments and equipment inspections.Work within confined spaces and from elevated heights as required to perform work; perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.Follow all safety rules and practices.May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.May be required to have a valid driver's license and good driving record.Understand and complete all basic required on-board training in regard to safety and quality.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsAbility to learn all major railcar components and basic functions.Work under direct supervision of a Career Mobile Technician or higher position.Use hand tools such as hammers, torches, wrenches, hydraulic jacks, pneumatic tools, and others as required.May be required to obtain specialized qualification and training in one of the following: Air Brake Testing, Welding, Gasket Valves and Fasteners, BLTII, PTII, VTII, Qualified Coating Applicator, Qualified Coating Inspector, Qualified Abrasive Blaster or other qualifications as applicable.Any type of welding/Valve/mechanical experience or railcar knowledge preferred.Valid Driver's License, good driving record.EOETrinity Industries, Inc., and its subsidiary or affiliated companies (hereinafter "Trinity") are committed to equal employment opportunity.
