Required Skills: MED/Surg, Telemetry-remote monitoring, Rapid Response Team, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, PCA, Chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Certifications: BCLS required. Preferred QualificationsExperience with MS/Tele, Telemetry, Management of dysrhythmias, Accessing Ports, Insulin, CVA, Surgical drains, Interpretation of ABGs, Tracheostomy Management, EPIC. Job DetailsTarget Ratios: 1:5-6Shift: 12-hour nights; 36 or 48 hours per week accepted for 13-26 week contracts. Contract staff will be part of the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, and may be required to report during catastrophic events. Floating Requirement: Floating required. Weekend Requirement: 12-16 per contract. Patient Diagnoses: Dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture. Special Procedures: Isolation area for COVID patients. Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR. Scheduling Type: Based on unit needs. Unit Orientation: 24 hours. Hospital Orientation: Week one, must be available for classes each day. Scrubs: Navy/White. Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
