Purchasing Agent

Position Overview The Purchasing Agent is responsible for creating, maintaining, organizing, and updating purchasing related documents for the purchase of raw materials and supplies. This role involves using ERP and vendor software to facilitate order purchasing, tracking, and approvals. The Purchasing Agent also ensures that TS Conductor operates in compliance with current ISO 9001:2015 Quality standards Essential Functions Supplier Assessment: Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, capability, and transactional history. This may involve interviewing vendors and visiting suppliers' facilities to understand their products, services, and pricing. Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals, including discounts on volume and cash transactions. Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine fair pricing. Documentation: Ensure that all purchasing documents are accurate, complete, and include appropriate terms and conditions. Confirm and match pricing on purchase orders and invoices. Inventory Coordination: Work closely with managers to maintain inventory levels and coordinate deliveries. Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records of pricing histories, vendor information, product performance, and inventory. Financial Analysis: Possess strong financial skills to analyze and understand financial data. Organizational Skills: Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively. Additional duties as assigned. Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, or business management is preferred. Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently on projects as well as collaborate effectively with a team. Problem-Solving: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and incorporate new information to implement effective solutions. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Windows and other technical tools necessary for completing assignments. Communication Skills: Excellent ability to clearly convey messages in an easy-to-understand manner. Must be able to explain programs, policies, and procedures effectively. Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal leaders, suppliers, and vendors. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Autonomy and Multitasking: Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Compliance: Must be knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 standards and successfully pass an E-Verify background check.
