I&E Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Compensation • The pay for this position is $30.00 – $35.00 per hour • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment • A 401(k) with a company match is available to full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Maintenance Technician Highlights • Monday – Thursday (4-day work week, 10-hour shifts) • Overtime and on-call opportunities available • Work in a highly automated, safety-focused manufacturing environment Maintenance Technician Responsibilities • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability • Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems • Demonstrate proficiency in one or more disciplines: Mechanical, Civil, or Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) • Calibrate and maintain equipment to current design specifications • Document all maintenance activities including "as found / as left" conditions • Provide technical support and contractor oversight as needed • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and incident investigations • Maintain compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) standards and DSM Life Saving Rules • Promote and follow safe work practices and proper PPE usage • Identify and report quality deviations and improvement opportunities • Assist in training development and delivery for team members • Support continuous improvement initiatives and plant operations Requirements • High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED) • 5+ years of maintenance or construction experience (REQUIRED) • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience • Experience as an I&E Technician (Instrumentation & Electrical) • Journeyman certification in a skilled trade (or equivalent experience) • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling, etc.) • Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Willingness to work overtime and on-call schedules • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days Additional Information • Role requires working in a fast-paced, highly automated facility • Must be comfortable handling multiple priorities and shifting tasks quickly • Opportunity to work with diverse equipment and advanced systems If you think this position is a good fit for you, please reach out to me - feel free to call, e-mail, or apply to this posting! -
