Training & Development Assistant
Enterprise Electrical is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Training & Development Assistant to provide administrative and logistical support for our growing Training & Development function.This role supports the coordination and delivery of employee learning programs, including onboarding, technical training, apprenticeship development, leadership development, compliance training, and other organizational learning initiatives.Working closely with the Training Content & LMS Specialist and Director of Training & Development, this position helps ensure employees and instructors have the information, materials, scheduling, and logistical support needed for a successful learning experience.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Maintain the department training calendar and coordinate learning eventsSchedule training rooms, virtual meetings, instructors, facilitators, subject matter experts, and guest speakersCoordinate employee registration, participant rosters, attendance, and training recordsPrepare and distribute training invitations, confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communicationsPrepare training materials, participant packets, sign-in sheets, name badges, evaluations, and classroom suppliesAssist with classroom and virtual training setup and provide support during training sessionsEnter and maintain training information within the Learning Management System (LMS) and departmental databasesMaintain organized training documentation, department records, standard operating procedures, and formsMonitor the department inbox and respond to routine employee questions regarding training programs, schedules, registration, and enrollmentSupport onboarding and new hire orientation activitiesAssist with recruiting, tracking, and monitoring apprentice training and performanceCollect participant evaluations and feedback and assist with routine training and participation reportingMaintain training libraries, learning resources, supplies, materials, and equipmentCoordinate printing, shipping, and distribution of training materials to company locationsAssist with vendor scheduling, meetings, departmental projects, and continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have:Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling employee informationProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointAbility to learn and effectively use Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HRIS platformsAbility to communicate and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organizationAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentBasic knowledge of office procedures and administrative practicesAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, open-office environmentEducation & ExperienceRequired:High school diploma or GEDTwo (2) to four (4) years of experience in administrative support, office coordination, training coordination, customer service, or a related fieldExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred:Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Office Administration, or a related fieldExperience scheduling meetings, training sessions, or eventsPrevious experience supporting Learning & Development, Training, or Human ResourcesExperience working with an LMS or HRISMicrosoft Office Specialist CertificationCertified Administrative Professional (CAP) certificationAssociation for Talent Development (ATD) coursework or trainingPosition DetailsPosition Type: Full-Time, Non-ExemptSchedule: Monday through Friday during normal business hoursOccasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required to support training events, orientations, or special projectsOvertime may be required based on business needs and will be compensated in accordance with applicable law and company policyOccasional travel between company locations or external training facilities may be requiredThis position does not have direct supervisory responsibilitiesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position is primarily performed in an office environment with frequent interaction with employees, managers, instructors, vendors, and subject matter experts.The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, frequent use of standard office equipment, and the ability to assist with classroom and training room setup.
