As Manager of Nursing, you will lead a team of nursing staff and provide nursing services, training, and support to address the medical or psychiatric needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, and/or emotional or behavioral challenges. Oversee and support a team of LPNs and RNs; evaluate their performance and implement corrective action as needed  Direct the quality of nursing assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implementation, and evaluation  Monitor the nursing delegation process in conjunction with the Medical Director  Ensure required training is completed, review delegation decisions, and develop procedures for assigned tasks  Conduct the medical assessment of referred individuals and collaborate with the Intake Coordinator to determine appropriateness for placement in the community  Oversee and coordinate the nursing intake process, service plan, Minimum Data Set, and other meetings related to the nursing care of the individual being served  Develop and lead medical and clinical training in conjunction with the Medical Director  Apply expert clinical judgment to care situations based on accepted nursing standards, state administrative codes, contract obligations, policies, procedures, and corporate Quality of Care standards  Evaluate nursing staff’s knowledge and application of law, regulation, and policies  Conduct on-going quality assurance and improvement audits; implement changes as needed  Develop and implement nursing-related QAI systems to document all performance evaluation processes  Act as a liaison between state and community health agencies and providers; identify community resources and develop relationships to expand network  Develop systems to effectively coordinate and integrate care using community resources in collaboration with Clinical Team and others Compile and analyze QA data and make recommendations; coordinate responses to address widespread QA concerns within a state as needed  Participate in the development and implementation of service plans and supervise, in conjunction with the physicians, the medical components of the plans  Review documents and revise all nursing-related care plans on a regular basis  Oversee the management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services  Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited RN program with current state RN license  Minimum of five years of experience working with medically and/or behaviorally complex individuals; experience with children with special needs preferred One year of supervisory experience  Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services  Current CPR/First Aid certification  Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task  Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others  Well-organized with ability to prioritize tasks and workload  Why Join Us?
