This position requires the ability to supervise employees engaged in storeroom activities, manage and control inventory, support mill operations via storeroom optimization.Ability to demonstrate storeroom logistics and inventory management. Ability to assist with the inventory/ storeroom support of projects for implementation. Responsibility/Duties:Supports and fosters safety and environmental complianceUnderstands and implements safe designs, safe work practices, and safe work environmentsProvides leadership to hourly employees in the StoreroomUnderstands Union Labor Agreement and ensures complianceImplements inventory logistics for orderly and clean storeroomOversees kitting of jobs, job receipt, receipt of purchased parts, and resolution of issues when necessaryCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable lawResponsible for adherence to quality assurance programAssist manager with interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Communicate company-wide announcements and keep employees informed about company policy or changes to policiesMonitor employees for compliance to company safety policies, use of tools, and personal protective equipment.Maintain neat and orderly work areasMonitor levels of employee performance.Performs root cause analysis to eliminate problemsKeeps work flowing in an efficient manner by monitoring work flow and assigning additional tasks when necessary.Maintain a cooperative relationship with other departmentsAssists with maintaining schedule for hourly coverage for departmentQualifications/Skills: Associate of Business or comparable logistics degree. Supervisory level experience2 years of industrial manufacturing experience.Possess strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to achieve results by influencing others and supporting the overall business.Experience with managing maintenance activities including creating, planning, scheduling, and executing
