If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, treat the business as if it is your own and add value accordingly, come see why we're Calumet Proud!PURPOSE:The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation and review of financial information for external and internal reporting purposes, including SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other required reports), earnings releases, lender reporting, and management reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Compile financial information for certain SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks and 8-Ks) including financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules and disclosuresPrepare financial statement tie-outs for SEC filings and external financial reporting presentations (e.g. quarterly earnings presentation)Optimize reporting tools, consolidation systems, and iXBRL tagging/reportingDevelop and maintain standardized templates, reporting checklists, and procedural documentationCompile information for Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) disclosuresSupport monthly and quarterly close processes related to reporting and consolidationReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses impacting external reportingAssist with consolidation activities, including eliminations, intercompany reportingPartner with FP&A, tax, legal, HR, and treasury teams to align data and disclosuresEnsure compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with our SOX 404 requirementsPerform data integrity validation testing over the Company's internal financial reporting systems, as necessaryAssist with the administration of Company incentive programsAssist with the research and implementation of new accounting standards, as necessaryPrepare the quarterly US GAAP Financial Statement Disclosure ChecklistMaintain and administer the Company's listing of related partiesIdentify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and documentationPrepare requests quarterly and annually for both internal and external auditorsComplete special projects, as neededREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting experience, including public company audit and/or reporting experienceExperience with accounting and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including the preparation of financial statements and footnotes of a publicly traded companyProficiency in ERP systems, SEC reporting software, and advanced Excel skillsCOMPETENCIES:Financial reporting and reconciliation expertiseExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented and ability to navigate multiple work streams and deadlinesVariance analysis and insight generationSOX compliance and control testingClear interpersonal communicationProcess optimization mindsetDemonstration of Calumet Values - Safety, Environment & Social Responsibility, Teamwork, Ownership, Passion for Customers, and ExcellenceSalary and benefits commensurate with experience.
