This role oversees engineering operations, tooling development, process improvement, and tool room management while ensuring manufacturing systems operate efficiently and cost-effectively. The Engineering Manager serves as a key link between technical execution and business objectives by managing engineers, projects, processes, and continuous improvement efforts.General ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all tool room operations, personnel, and workflowLead the design, development, debugging, and improvement of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processesDesign, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and related processesIdentify opportunities to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and cost reductionAnalyze root causes of failures and recommend improvements to designs, tolerances, materials, or processing methodsDevelop and implement new manufacturing methods and process improvementsTroubleshoot product, tooling, equipment, material, and process-related issuesReview product designs for manufacturability, accuracy, and completenessCommunicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and technical information to support production goalsDesign, install, maintain, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and systemsSupport continuous improvement and quality initiatives throughout operationsQualificationsEducationAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperienceMinimum of 5 years of related engineering, manufacturing, or tooling experiencePrevious leadership or supervisory experience preferredRequired Skills & CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong complex problem-solving and analytical abilitiesSound judgment and decision-making skillsSystems analysis and process improvement experienceProficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD/design softwareAbility to research and implement new technologies and manufacturing methodsStrong technical and mechanical design aptitudeQuality control experience is a plusEffective organizational and time management skills
