Facilities Custodian

Facilities Custodian This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility at this branch and corporate space. The individual selected will be responsible for identifying areas that need attention and responding to areas pointed out that need cleaned. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenishing all paper towel or toiletries in restrooms. Dispose of trash and recyclables according to facility guidelines. Respond to emergency clean-ups in a timely manner. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate individuals when necessary. Follow facility security policies, locking/unlocking doors as needed. Keep an organized storage area for custodial equipment and materials and notify supervisor of supply shortages. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Dresses professionally. Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis. Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Technical and Functional Competencies: Enjoys a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Attentive to detail. Ability to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate with others. Ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance. Highly organized. Be both self-motivated and a team player. Ability to multi-task. Critical Thinking displays logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Demonstrates good judgment. Willingness to accept additional responsibilities. Ability to manage time effectively and work independently, without close supervisor. Takes initiative in development and completion of projects. Ability to handle complex issues and problems, escalating these to immediate supervisor when necessary. Provides feedback to supervisor on ways to improve day-to-day operations when necessary. Physical Working Conditions: Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds, push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
