You will be an effective source for help and support because of your deep knowledge and liability claim expertise.How You’ll Make An ImpactManage an assigned volume of casualty claims within Personal and Commercial underwriting verticalsInvestigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned claims within authority limitsDevelop and follow strategic action plans throughout the life of each fileProvide proactive hospitality by setting expectations, building rapport, and responding to requests in a timely mannerBuild relationships and communicate effectively with agency partners, internal and external stakeholdersConduct thorough and proactive liability claim investigations including the use of ISOImplements proper recognition, investigation, referral and communication regarding subrogationSet accurate initial reserves promptly and review them regularly in the context of probable exposure Manage liability files through swift resolution of exposures that warrant settlementDetects and mitigates fraud when investigating claimsMaintain appropriate consideration of file expenses and utilizes approved suppliersManage paid losses appropriately; pays what is fair and owed, settles claims at the optimal time in the life of the fileMonitor and collaborate with defense counsel on litigation strategy and development through the litigation process Assists team development with subject matter expertise learning, and onboarding assistanceComplete training as assignedHandle special projects as assignedWhat You’ll BringAbility to obtain and maintain all required state Department of Insurance adjusting licenses and CE’s within 90 days of employmentBachelor’s degree and two years of related experienceOr Associates degree and three years of related experienceOr four years of related experienceTravel as neededAbility to investigate and evaluate liability claims in accordance with our Best PracticesStrong analytical and decision-making skills Ability to evaluate damages and negotiate fair settlementsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPositively contributes to Team NPS resultsAbility to reach key performance metricsProperly utilizes diary & mail system to manage timeliness of needed activityComplies with state regulatory/statutory requirements, corporate privacy and other claim policy requirementsStrong understanding of industry verticals such as transportation, construction, manufacturing, real estate, and small businessUnderstands and utilizes various resources including technology and toolsAbility to understand Central Insurance’s policies and processesPreferred QualificationsCPCU, SCLA or AIC designationsClaims experience in both Personal Lines and Commercial LinesLitigation management experienceExperience drafting coverage lettersWorking knowledge of contracts and risk transfer concepts Total RewardsCentral establishes base pay based on several factors including labor market data and an evaluation of candidate qualifications relative to role requirements.
