Electrical Engineer, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Pharma, EngineeringOverviewWe are seeking High Voltage Electrical Engineers at the Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior levels to support the design, analysis, and maintenance of high-voltage power systems. These roles focus on ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure across transmission, distribution, and industrial environments.This position requires strong technical expertise in power systems, safety protocols, troubleshooting, and project execution, along with the ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support high-voltage systems including transformers, switchgear, substations, and transmission/distribution networksPerform power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studiesConduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on high-voltage equipment to ensure reliability and safetyTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actionsSupport commissioning, testing, and ongoing system operation and maintenanceEnsure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, field personnel, contractors, and clientsPrepare technical documentation including drawings, specifications, reports, and system modelsSupport project planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple initiativesTechnical Skills RequiredPower system analysis and modeling (load flow, short circuit, arc flash)High-voltage equipment design, testing, and maintenanceProtection and control systemsElectrical system troubleshooting and fault diagnosticsExperience with industry tools (ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, or similar)Electrical design, schematics, and CAD toolsKnowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and regulatory complianceCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environmentsEffective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong attention to detail with a focus on safety and complianceAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsProject management and planning skillsJunior High Voltage Electrical Engineer (0–3 Years)ResponsibilitiesAssist with system design, analysis, and documentation under supervisionSupport testing, inspections, and commissioning activitiesPerform basic calculations, modeling, and data analysisAssist in troubleshooting and field support activitiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExposure to power systems, circuit analysis, or electrical designBasic understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance practicesFamiliarity with CAD or power system analysis tools preferredMid-Level High Voltage Electrical Engineer (3–8 Years)ResponsibilitiesPerform independent power system design, analysis, and equipment selectionConduct load flow, short circuit, and reliability studiesLead portions of projects including technical execution and deliverablesSupport commissioning, testing, and field troubleshootingInterface with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholdersRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)3–8 years of experience in power systems, utilities, or high-voltage environmentsStrong understanding of transmission, distribution, or substation systemsExperience with system modeling tools (ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, or similar)Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance requirementsSenior High Voltage Electrical Engineer (8+ Years)ResponsibilitiesLead complex high-voltage engineering projects from concept through executionPerform advanced system studies (load flow, fault analysis, protection coordination, arc flash)Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical oversightEstablish engineering standards, best practices, and design methodologiesAct as subject matter expert for power systems and high-voltage infrastructureSupport business development, proposals, and client strategyRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)8+ years of experience in high-voltage or power systems engineeringDeep expertise in substations, transmission, and distribution systemsStrong experience in system analysis, design, and commissioningProfessional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferredDemonstrated leadership and project management experienceAdditional DetailsCombination of office and field work (substations, plants, job sites)Travel may be required depending on project scopeCompensation aligned with experience levelIn accordance with New York salary transparency requirements, the anticipated annual base salary range for positions is: $80k- $140k annually.
