If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.Job SummaryThe General Manager provides leadership and management for all hotel operations including team member staffing and relations, budgeting and financial responsibilities, forecasting, sales and marketing, guest services and facilities management. The General Manager is responsible for establishing a positive work environment, delivering exceptional guest service and administering policies and procedures established by the company and the hotel brand.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops, coordinates and implements all day-to-day operations of the hotelDirects efforts related to team member staffing including recruitment, orientation, training & development, scheduling, counseling, performance management, and other team member relations issuesMaintains personal connections with guests, clients and community organizationsPrepares annual operating budget to include a sales, marketing and revenue management planAnalyzes financial performance by comparing actual performance to planned performance, identifying variances, and initiating corrective actionMaintains product and service quality standards by implementing policies and procedures, investigating deficiencies/complaints, and initiating corrective actionInspects guestrooms to ensure all company and brand cleanliness standards are metMonitors and upholds procedures for control of supplies, keys, monies and creditMonitors and upholds procedures for safety and security of hotel staff and guestsMaintains knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform any position at the hotelRemains current on industry trends and local market activitiesPerforms additional responsibilities as assigned by leadershipQualificationsCollege degree or the equivalent in related work experience5 or more years of hotel experience with three years in a management positionStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to speak clearly and listen attentivelyAbility to read and write effectivelyAbility to resolve problems effectivelyAbility to manage stressful situations with poise and finesseConduct work-related functions in a professional mannerMedical, Dental, PTO, 401K. 75-85K depending on experience._This company is an equal opportunity employer._frnch1
