We "make your day" through great customer service at every interaction and do our very best to support those who live and work around us.Job descriptionWe are looking for a Barista for our Downtown L.A location to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Note: this position's compensation includes salary and tips. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.ResponsibilitiesGreet customers as they enterGive customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredientsTake orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)Prepare beverages following recipesServe beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffinsReceive and process payments (cash and credit cards)Keep the bar area cleanMaintain stock of clean mugs and platesCheck if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needsComply with health and safety regulationsCommunicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu itemsSkillsPrevious work experience as a Barista or Waiter/WaitressHands-on experience with brewing equipmentKnowledge of sanitation regulationsFlexibility to work various shiftsBasic math skillsAbility to gauge customers' preferencesExcellent communication skillsHigh school diploma; relevant training is a plusJob: Part-time 25 hours per weekPay: $20 per hour + Tips Company DescriptionTwo Guns Espresso is a small, growing company based in the South Bay of Los Angeles.
