Software Engineer 2 (Hybrid) - Linux/Bash/Python/Docker/Kubernetes

Description Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for supporting the CASA Compute Environment (CCE) SaaS team and mission services. The CCE provides several containerized services that customers can provision and access on demand inside of a Kubernetes cluster. Some of the services include Gitlab CI/CD, Jupyter Notebooks, MinIO, and several other products. The Software Engineer shall perform maintenance and troubleshooting of containerized applications, upgrade services, assist customers using the CCE and develop any required software for new CCE functionality and services. In addition, the Software Engineer shall provide customer support to CCE customers across several Hustle channels and via help desk tickets. Requirements Security Clearance: Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Required Skills: Experience using the Linux CLI Experience with Bash/Python scripting Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or containers Experience creating containerized applications/services Experience creating Helm Charts for Kubernetes Experience deploying containerized services in a Kubernetes environment Experience providing customer outreach and troubleshooting support Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI Experience with Git Source Control System Desired Skills: Experience developing with REST APIs Experience with the Atlassian Tool suite (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira) Experience transitioning applications and services to AWS This position is open for direct hires only.
