Job Title: Event Staff Supervisor – GWCCLocation: Georgia World Congress CenterJob Summary:The Event Staff Supervisor at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) is responsible for overseeing event staff operations during conventions, trade shows, sporting events, and special events. This position ensures all staff provide excellent customer service, maintain safety standards, and support a professional and welcoming environment for all guests and clients.Key Responsibilities:Supervise event staff assigned to GWCC buildings, entrances, exhibit halls, and event spacesConduct roll call, briefings, and post-event debriefs for all assigned staffEnsure proper staffing levels and coverage for all assigned postsMonitor staff performance, appearance, and professionalismEnforce company policies, venue rules, and GWCC guidelinesProvide direction and assistance to guests, vendors, and event attendeesRespond to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns in a timely and professional mannerMaintain communication with management via radio and other communication toolsComplete incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift summariesCoordinate with GWCC operations, public safety, and event coordinatorsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1–2 years of supervisory experience in event staffing, security, or customer serviceStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage teams in high-volume, fast-paced environmentsMust be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conductAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours)Ability to work both indoors and outdoors depending on event needsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds if requiredWork Environment:Large-scale convention center with multiple buildings and high guest volumeEvents include conventions, trade shows, corporate events, and large public gatheringsFast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and situational awarenessPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience working at GWCC or similar large venuesExperience with crowd control and access managementFamiliarity with radio communication systemsCPR/First Aid certification
