Mechanical Technicians are responsible for executing the mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Area of Focus:
Completes the hands-on tasks relevant to the mechanical procedures on the project; Valve/Actuator/Tank Mixer Stroking;
Witness and perform Pump/Motor alignment activities;
Uncoupled motor runs (including vibration analysis);
Coupled pump runs (including vibration analysis);
Perform non-comprehensive piping vibration analysis;
Perform millwright/piping duties that pertain to pumps, motors, valves;
Conduct/attend walk-downs prior to commissioning work;
Inspection of installed mechanical equipment;
Actively participate in HAZOP, JHA, FLRA;
Follow the appropriate lockout-tag out processes for commissioning;
Participate in project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT);Actively participate in HAZOP, JHA, and FLRA;
Follow the appropriate Lock-out/Tag-out processes for commissioning;
Follow system commissioning procedures that have been developed and approved;
Participate in project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT);
Support walk-downs and the creation of punch lists;
Vibration checks, temperature checks, RPM, and rotational checks of equipment;
Qualifications:
NCCER or State License;
Degree or technical training considered an asset;
3-5 years’ commissioning experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
