A company is looking for a Certified Coder II.
Key Responsibilities
Processes claims based on state rules and regulations
Determines validity and compensability of claims using proprietary programs
Makes recommendations and communicates claim status to referring offices
Required Qualifications and Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Current AAPC certification and CPC certification with over 2 years of experience
Current or recent orthopedic billing/coding experience
Experience with EncoderPro software and E/M coding/down-coding
Preferred experience in Texas workers' compensation and Pain Management/Anesthesia/General Surgery coding
