Senior Data Engineer
We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to serve as a technical leader who shapes the future of our engineering organization. In this role, you'll architect complex systems, set engineering standards, and partner closely with product and design teams to drive platform innovation. You'll be accountable for high-impact architectural decisions and ensuring long-term technical excellence across the organization while mentoring and elevating the engineers around you.
What You'll Do
Define and guide target architectures for complex systems and platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, extensible, and aligned with enterprise engineering standards
Lead architectural design reviews and technical decision-making, documenting trade-offs and guiding teams in adopting consistent patterns and best practices
Partner with product and business leaders to translate strategic goals into architectural initiatives, balancing value, risk, and effort
Design and evolve scalable platform capabilities including resilient APIs, event-driven architectures, caching strategies, and data models built for performance and long-term growth
Advance DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud engineering practices, standardizing pipelines and implementing infrastructure-as-code for consistent, compliant environments
Improve system reliability and observability by defining SLOs, implementing monitoring and tracing, and driving architectural improvements from incident learnings
What You Bring
7+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a product-centric or agile environment
Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern engineering architecture including microservices, event-driven systems, resilient API design
Proficiency in modern development stacks including C#, Python, Angular, and SQL
Proven experience in architecture, platform engineering, and cloud-native solutions
Strong understanding of service reliability, monitoring, tracing, and incident management
Ability to mentor engineers, lead architectural discussions, and drive adoption of engineering standards across teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and modern development tooling
Certifications or active participation in professional development is a plus
