1. About Our Client:The organization provides government contracting solutions and services, supporting federal agencies, state governments, and commercial clients. Since 2008, it has supported mission-critical programs globally by deploying personnel rapidly across technical, professional, and medical projects.2. About the Opportunity:The Patient Services Representative role supports Veterans Affairs by managing patient scheduling and coordination. This position plays a key part in ensuring veterans receive timely medical appointments and follow-ups, contributing directly to the efficient delivery of healthcare services.3. Responsibilities:• Interpret and verify provider orders per VHA National Scheduling Directive guidelines• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments and consults• Enter no-show information and prepare for clinic visits• Monitor appointments, consults, and requests within assigned areas• Enter and monitor recall reminders and ensure encounter forms are completed• Respond to alerts from VS GUI, VISTA, and CPRS systems• Assist VA Community Care Staff in contacting veterans to obtain preferences• Schedule or reschedule appointments with community providers• Confirm veteran attendance at appointments and request medical records when necessary4. Requirements:• Must have a REAL ID or valid passport• Residency in Los Angeles or Long Beach area• U.S. citizenship• Effective communication skills with interdisciplinary teams and customers• Proficient in spoken and written English• Minimum of six months clerical, office, customer service, or administrative experience• At least one year of education beyond high school or equivalent combination of education and experience• Dependable, with good judgment to protect veterans’ welfare• Average typing speed of 40 words per minute• Knowledge of office equipment and software/databases related to data entry• Basic understanding of computerized patient record functionality5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Pay rate: $20.21 per hour plus $5.09 per hour for Health & Wellness or Cash in Lieu6.
