Employee Development Specialist (Aerospace Instructor)
Overview The PST MW Delivery team is responsible for the delivery of Technical Learning Solutions for the Fabrication, Assembly, and Delivery of Aircraft and other Aerospace Products. As an Employee Development Specialist within PST MW Delivery, you will handle a diverse range of responsibilities to assist our Production Operations and Quality Business Partners.
Base pay range $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Duration: 12+ months contract
Locations: Berkeley, MO / Everett, WA / North Charleston, SC / other locations
Responsibilities Perform as an instructor/facilitator/technical performance coach independently in a specialized content area from one or more of the following areas of expertise including but not limited to Aircraft Structures, Aircraft Mechanical, Aircraft Modifications, Aircraft Inspection, Aircraft Drawings, Aircraft Process Specifications, Military Technical Data, and/or Electronic Work Instructions
Conduct learning using a variety of delivery methods, techniques and platforms
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide learning consultation services
Provide extensive professional & technical assistance in both formal classroom and on-the-job learning
Render professional assistance to resolve difficult or unusual problems
Facilitate work teams, providing necessary training, and leading problem resolution and process improvement
Expand and enhance expertise in various areas to ensure flexibility across the collective Statement of Work (SOW)
Interpret regulations and standards, ensure delivery of learning align with commercial, government, regulatory and organizational standards and specifications
Emphasize safety precautions to be taken as applicable
Assist Functional Development by serving as a SME, as needed
Edit existing solutions or create temporary solutions to meet a unique and/or urgent business need, as needed
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) 5+ years of experience performing aircraft structures production, maintenance, and/or training on military aircraft
Experience performing aircraft structural and mechanical work
Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
Experience reading and interpreting Technical Data
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) Experience in Fighter Jet Structures procedures i.e. precision drilling, fastener installation/removal, bonding and grounding, torquing, safetying devices, etc.
Experience transferring knowledge through formal or informal modes of training
This position supports 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates must be open to working all three shifts.
