Job Description Our organization is in search of a dedicated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to become a part of our vibrant anesthesia team. The CRNA will play a crucial role in administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient recovery post-anesthesia. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong sense of independence, clinical proficiency, and a dedication to delivering exceptional care. Shifts may vary, including 8, 10, and 12-hour options.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Anesthetic AssessmentPerform comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations, which encompass patient history, physical examinations, and analysis of diagnostic information.Formulate and discuss anesthesia care strategies with both the anesthesia team and patients.Anesthesia AdministrationAdminister various types of anesthetics, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, following established protocols.Monitor patients throughout surgical and medical procedures, adjusting anesthetic dosages as required.Oversee and manage patients' airways to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygen supply.Intraoperative CareContinuously observe patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.React swiftly to any changes in patient condition, implementing necessary interventions.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.Post-Anesthetic CareDeliver post-anesthesia care, focusing on pain management and monitoring patients during their recovery phase.Ensure a safe transition for patients from the operating room to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or other recovery areas.Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.DocumentationThoroughly document all aspects of anesthesia care, including pre-anesthetic assessments, anesthetic administration, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia care.Maintain comprehensive records of anesthesia-related procedures, medications, and patient responses.Compliance and SafetyComply with all federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines pertaining to anesthesia practice.Engage in ongoing education and professional development to remain updated on best practices and emerging trends in anesthesia care.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of safety within the healthcare environment.Qualifications:Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited institution.Certification: Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).Licensure: Active RN and APRN licenses in the state of New York.Required Experience: Experience in providing anesthesia care across diverse surgical and procedural environments.Skills:Strong clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.Proficient in the use of anesthesia equipment and monitoring systems.Recruitment Package:$100,000 starting bonus.$15,000 retention bonus.Relocation assistance available.Comprehensive benefits, including health, vision, and dental insurance.Paid malpractice coverage, including post-employment tail coverage.CME time and a $2,500 annual expense allowance.Paid time off from practice.Retirement savings plan with employer matching.Loan Repayment: Our institution qualifies as an eligible employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.Compensation:The salary range is between $265,000 and $285,000. This figure represents the starting total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, or other forms of cash compensation relevant to the role. Please be aware that this salary range is provided in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the factors mentioned above.
