The CFO reports to the Head of School, leads the business office, and serves as the primary staff resource to the Board's Finance and Audit Committees. This is a full-time, year-round, on-site position.Scope of ResponsibilityThe CFO will provide leadership across the full financial and operational infrastructure of the school, including:Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and Board-level reportingEndowment oversight and investment committee interfaceTuition and financial aid strategy; net tuition revenue modelingDebt management and capital project oversightHuman resources administration and complianceFacilities management across a 1,500-acre residential campusRisk management, auxiliary programs, food service, and technology coordinationFinancial administration of the Hebron Water DistrictQualifications Demonstrated senior financial leadership in an independent school settingStrong command of nonprofit fund accounting, GAAP compliance, and 990 preparationExperience presenting financial strategy and analysis to boards and senior leadershipOperational range across HR, facilities, risk management, and auxiliary revenueCollaborative instincts and executive presence to partner with a new Head of SchoolBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA preferredGenuine commitment to the life and mission of a small, rural New England boarding school Command of primary management technologies to include:Excel/financial modelingBlackbaud Financial EdgeRaiser's Edge
