Customers enjoy watching their meals being prepared while seated at the counter, making for an interactive dining experience. Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Short Order Cook to join our team, working alongside the two owners in a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll play a key role in preparing meals, maintaining a clean workspace, and engaging with customers. Though you'll begin with general kitchen duties, you will eventually train to work the grill. Responsibilities: Prepare meals according to our restaurant’s standards, ensuring quality and consistency. Keep a clean, organized workspace, especially with customers seated nearby. Engage with customers while focusing on food preparation. Use kitchen equipment, including slicers, following safety and hygiene practices. Thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, working cooperatively with the team. Learn to work the grill and eventually take on full grill shifts. Take part in shared and rotating kitchen duties. Qualifications: Experience in kitchen environments, with food preparation and equipment use. Ability to maintain a clean workspace in an open kitchen. Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen settings. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks, including grilling.
