Job Description POSITION SUMMARYOne Day Doors & Closets of Colorado Springs is seeking experienced, reliable Contract Closet Installers to join our growing network of installation professionals. As a contract installer, you will be responsible for the precise, professional installation of custom closet systems in residential homes — delivering the seamless, one-day installation experience that defines our brand. This is a per-project contract role. You will be engaged on an as-needed basis based on project volume, with the expectation of consistent, high-quality work and a professional customer-facing presence. WHAT YOU WILL DO• Arrive at customer homes within scheduled appointment windows, professionally and prepared.• Review installation plans and specifications provided by our design and sales team prior to each job.• Install custom closet systems — including shelving, hanging rods, drawer units, and associated hardware — per manufacturer specifications and One Day installation standards.• Ensure all installations are level, plumb, secure, and finished to a professional standard before leaving the job site.• Protect customer property throughout the installation — use drop cloths, shoe covers, and leave the workspace clean upon completion.• Conduct a walk-through with the homeowner at job completion to confirm satisfaction before departing.• Communicate promptly with our operations team regarding any site conditions, product discrepancies, or issues that arise during installation.• Complete required installation documentation and sign-off per project. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience & Skills• Minimum 2 years of residential installation experience — closet systems, cabinetry, shelving, or comparable millwork strongly preferred.• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools including drills, levels, saws, and fastening equipment.• Ability to read and follow installation plans and manufacturer instructions with precision.• Comfort working independently in occupied residential homes with minimal supervision.• Physical ability to lift and maneuver components up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces such as walk-in closets and reach-in areas. COMPENSATIONCompensation is structured on a per-project basis, commensurate with the scope and complexity of each installation. Specific rates are discussed during the onboarding process and are competitive with market rates for skilled residential installation work in the Colorado Springs area. High-performing installers who deliver consistent quality, maintain professional customer-facing standards, and are available for regular scheduling will have access to ongoing project volume as our market grows. WORK SCHEDULE• Project-based scheduling — installation appointments are typically scheduled Monday through Friday.• Project scope and estimated installation time will be communicated in advance for each job. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR RELATIONSHIPThis is an independent contractor position. Installers are responsible for their own tools and transportation. One Day Doors & Closets of Colorado Springs will provide product, installation specifications, and customer scheduling.
