Sewing Operator

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for Sewing Operators for an apparel company in Wheeling, IL. As a Sewing Operator, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, switching between tasks quickly when needed, and operating sewing machines. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temporary employees are offered competitive compensation ($18/HR) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include: 7:00am-3:30 pm or 7:30am-4:00pm. This is a seasonal/temporary position from July 2024-October 2024. Responsibilities of the Sewing Operator:-Complete given orders efficiently and cleanly during daily shifts Follow specified company policies and processes as directed Meet or exceed given quotas for the day Re-threading machine, replacing needles, and winding bobbins Perform general machine maintenance such as cleaning and small repairs Required Qualifications of the Sewing Operator: Previous sewing machine experience is desired (at least 1 year) Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail Ability to sit or stand for long hours throughout shift depending on the given task Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of some English preferred Works well in a team environment Ability to lift to 10 lbs.
