Facilities Maintenance Manager - Le Mars, Iowa - $85k - $100k + bonusThe Support Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of maintenance, repair, and operational support activities across multiple facilities and grounds.This role involves developing and implementing maintenance plans, leading a team of support staff, and ensuring operational excellence. The Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining facility integrity, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Essential Job FunctionsDevelop and implement maintenance plans and quality standards for facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipmentManage workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple sitesOversee contractor relationships and large-scale maintenance projectsEnsure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and bio-security measuresDirect maintenance of critical systems, including power systems and waste managementCoordinate with Production teams on facility readiness and operational supportCollaborate with department leaders to align facility management with business objectivesDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost reductionOversee Truck Wash procedures to ensure vehicles are properly washed, sanitized, and documented according to bio-security standardsManage equipment maintenance requests, work orders, and purchase ordersProcure tools, equipment, supplies, and training needed for shop operationsProvide prompt, professional solutions to operational issues and recommend service improvementsAssist with the purchase of vehicles and equipment to support operational needsManage emergency repairs and oversee preventative maintenance for all vehicles and equipmentSupport scheduling, dispatch coordination, and vendor management for vehicle servicesDevelop and implement fleet maintenance schedules and vehicle replacement programsMonitor vehicle performance, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize fleet efficiencyOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in facilities management or support operations3+ years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirementsProven leadership and team management abilitiesProficiency in project management and financial analysisExcellent problem-solving and strategic planning skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience within agricultural or food production environmentsFamiliarity with agriculture industry regulations and compliance standardsKnowledge of energy management and sustainability initiativesExperience using facilities management software and CMMS systems
