Senior Accountant
We are partnering with a client to add a detail-oriented and driven Senior Accountant to their growing finance team in Sandy Springs, GA. This role will play a key part in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting to both internal leadership and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review complete financial statement packages, including journal entries, general ledger analysis, and supporting schedulesProvide timely and accurate financial reporting to property and business leaders, as well as external clientsMonitor cash activity and balances to support ongoing operational needsAddress and resolve review feedback, maintaining clear documentation and audit trailsAnalyze financial results and investigate variances, providing insight into key fluctuationsCalculate and process management fees and ensure accurate billing and paymentPerform routine intercompany and inter-project reconciliations, following up on open itemsOversee scheduled payments including debt service, taxes, and distributions, maintaining tracking schedulesReview and validate bank reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding itemsMaintain adherence to internal policies and accounting proceduresReview budget data for completeness and accuracySupport audit activity by preparing documentation and responding to client requestsAssist with new property onboarding and transitions, including opening balances, prorations, and closing entriesExercise sound judgment to meet deadlines and support overall team objectivesContribute to additional projects and initiatives as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferredCPA or CPA-track is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial dataEffective communication skills, both written and verbalClient-focused mindset with a high level of professionalismAbility to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environmentStrong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to improve processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite; experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting platforms is preferredPay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hourSearch managed by: Coleman HarrisBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
