Test Engineer, Level 1 (FORECASTED)

Job Description What You Will Do:As a Test Engineer Level 1 at Independent Software, you will support the planning, execution, and evaluation of system testing activities for mission-critical programs. You will assist in developing and executing test plans, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting test events to ensure systems meet operational requirements.You will work under guidance to apply test and evaluation (T&E) principles, support data collection and analysis efforts, and contribute to the overall assessment of system performance and effectiveness.Key Responsibilities: Assist with planning and executing test activities in support of system evaluationsSupport development and execution of test plans, procedures, and reportsCollect, organize, and analyze test data to support evaluation effortsAssist in applying knowledge of Government test and evaluation concepts and methodologiesSupport Modeling and Simulation activities for test and evaluation purposesApply statistical analysis to evaluate system performance and support confidence estimatesAssist in developing and using analytical tools to support testing activitiesSupport coordination of test events, including setup, execution, and data collectionParticipate in test readiness activities and support test event executionAssist in documenting test results and preparing reports and briefingsSupport configuration and data management activities related to testingRequired Skills and Qualifications: Basic understanding of test and evaluation (T&E) concepts and methodologiesAbility to collect, analyze, and interpret dataFamiliarity with statistical analysis conceptsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to follow established procedures and work under guidanceStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentEducation and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or universityTwo (2) years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a related field on programs of similar scope, type, and complexityORFour (4) additional years of test or related experience may be substituted for a degreeClearance Requirement: Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role**This position is contingent on contract award**Why Choose Independent Software:At Independent Software, our people are the mission.
