Nuclear Design Engineer

Nuclear Design Engineer, responsible for the design of nuclear fuel handling systems and sub-systems in a remote contract position. Key Responsibilities Design nuclear fuel handling systems from requirements through final design Coordinate the review of various analyses and integrate results into plant design delivery Provide technical direction and oversight for supplier projects and maintain system specifications Required Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline from an accredited university 10+ years of direct experience with mechanical systems, particularly in nuclear fuel handling Experience with high-temperature and multi-discipline integration is highly desired Previous experience with nuclear reactors or similar high-performance system design Experience with ASME Section III and quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
