Production Technician - 12 Hour Night Shift (Hunt Valley Plant)

This position will requireflexibility with shift and work day assignments to support business need requirements and reduce Overtime. (Forexample, one potential work schedule might be Sunday – Thursday.)ResponsibilitiesMake product changeoversPerform packaging size changes, minor repairs and adjustments on equipmentOperate, process, fill and package materials on production line equipmentPerform consistent quality inspection of productsPack and palletize finished goods in a safe mannerAccurately complete all related paperworkUse computerized inventory management system to select orders and input dataMaintain accurate inventoriesRequired QualificationsUnder direct general supervision, positively operates under a total task, team-based approach to move raw,packaging, and finished goods to, from and within a department using mechanical and manual meansAbility to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and on an occasional basis move up to 100 pounds withassistanceAbility to perform basic math functionsResults-focused with ability to self-motivate and work under limited supervisionDemonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume, fast paced environmentDemonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships in a diverse team-based environmentDemonstrated ability to use logical thinking and independent judgment to solve problemsExcellent time management and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven mechanical abilityFork lift experienceDemonstrated ability to read, navigate and interpret multiple computerized data collection, data entry andinventory control systemsBase Salary: $17.85 - $26.77Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Dividend Program.
