Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview In this Electrical Engineer role, you contribute to water and wastewater projects within a collaborative team at Stantec. You will design and execute diverse projects, support business development, and act as a technical resource. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to define scope and ensure designs meet standards. Compensation / Benefitsmedical, dental, and vision planswellness program401(k) planemployee stock purchase programlife and AD&D insuranceshort-term/long-term disability plansnote (line breaks) ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute engineering tasks on assigned projects with minimal supervision, including drawings, reports, and calculations.Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches; assist with proposals and client interviews.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to prepare specifications.Lead project coordination meetings and drive teamwork across internal and external resources.Serve as a technical resource on complex projects and contribute to new electrical design standards and specifications.Possibly supervise other resources, oversee budgets and schedules with Project Managers.Act as engineer of record for own work and related designs by non-licensed personnelEngage in construction phase activities such as shop drawings, RFIs, and field inspections. Key requirementsBachelor in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 10 years of related experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) preferred or Engineer in Training with plan to pursue PEKnowledge of electrical codes and standards in water/wastewaterExperience with distribution systems 120/208V, 480V, 4160VAbility to lead teams through all project document phasesStrong communication and collaboration skillsProficiency with AutoCAD and BIM360; Revit familiarity is a plus; ETAP and SKM PowerTools are advantageousleadershipteam collaborationcommunicationelectrical design in water/wastewaterschematic and block diagramsdesign of control systems and electrical facilities
