CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistWe are seeking a CNC Machinist to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce precision plastic parts that meet tight tolerances and high-quality standards. You will interpret blueprints, set machine parameters, load programs, and perform measurements to ensure parts meet specifications.ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor CNC lathes to machine precision parts according to work orders and blueprintsLoad raw materials, run production parts, and unload finished componentsRead and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and setup sheets to determine part requirementsLoad CNC programs and set tools, offsets, speeds, and feeds as directedSelect, measure, install, and secure tools and attachments with minimal supervisionIndependently verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instrumentsEdit and adjust CNC programs or controls to correct minor errors or optimize performanceMaintain machines, replace worn tools, and perform basic preventive maintenanceComplete required production documentation and in-process inspection checksMaintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with safety and PPE requirementsCommunicate promptly with supervisors regarding machine or quality issuesAssist with material handling, tooling changes, and other production support tasks as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent5+ years of CNC lathe machining experience, preferably working with plasticsProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and 3D CAD modelsSkilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, and precision gaugesExperience with FANUC-controlled CNC machines and G-code programmingHands-on machining and setup experience, including prove-outs and troubleshootingDemonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances and meet SAE aerospace standardsExperience machining materials such as PEEK and TeflonAdditional machining experience with:Stainless steels (300 Series, Nitric 60)PH stainless steels (15-5, 17-4)Aluminum bronzeMP35N and Inconel
