OverviewThe primary role of the Retail Finance Manger is to:Provide accurate and timely financial information, enabling the Retail Business Unit to achieve its operational and strategic goals.Manage the Store P&L process, ensuring results are accurately reported, analyzed, and communicated to support informed business decisions and drive store performance.Manage the Store Bonus Compensation process, ensuring calculations are accurate, timely and aligned with established performance metrics and strategic goals.Develop complex financial models to support process automation, enhance reporting efficiency, and track key performance indicators.Primary ResponsibilitiesStore Financial Planning:Prepare quarterly financial plans for a portfolio of 700+ retail storesPartner with store and field leadership to support financial planning related to sales and margin expectations, as well as expense managementMonitor actual results against plan and identify risks and opportunities impacting forecast accuracy and future planningStore Performance and Reporting:Manage the Store P&L process, ensuring store-level financial data is accurate and consistentPrepare and distribute monthly store P&L statements to support leadership’s review of financial performance and operating trendsAnalyze store-level results, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational performanceStore Bonus Calculation and KPI Tracking:Oversee store bonus attainment calculations, ensuring accurate and timely results in accordance with defined performance metricsReview KPI results as needed to support bonus attainment calculations and alignment with strategic initiativesProcess Improvement and Automation:Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and automate recurring financial processing and reportingLeverage financial systems, advanced Excel tools, and emerging technologies (including AI-based tools) to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort and enhance productivityDemonstrate a curiosity in learning new systems, tools, and processes that support a fast-paced retail environmentAnalytical Agility and Business Partnership:Work effectively with large, complex data sets to ensure accuracy, identify issues and support reliability financial outputsDemonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly while managing multiple priorities and deadlinesCommunicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business partners to support financial processes and operational decision-makingEducation And ExperienceLevel of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceArea of Study: Finance / AccountingMinimum Years of Experience: 5Type of Experience:Financial Reporting & CloseAP/AR & General LedgerBudgeting & ForecastingFinancial AnalysisTools & SystemsControls & ComplianceCross-Functional CollaborationTechnical Competencies & Information Systems:Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with the ability to work accurately with large, complex data setsExperience with Oracle Smartview and other financial reporting platformsQuick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processesExperience supporting process improvement and automation initiatives, including some familiarity with AI-enabled toolsPersonal Attributes & Other/Preferred:DeterminedCommittedAttention to DetailFast LearnerAnalyticalOrganizedProactiveCollaborativeAbout The ODP Corporation: The ODP Corporation is a leading provider of products and services through an integrated business-to-business (B2B) distribution platform and omnichannel presence, which includes world-class supply chain and distribution operations, dedicated sales professionals, online presence, and a network of Office Depot and OfficeMax retail stores. Other duties may be assigned.Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $79,000/year to $108,000/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
