Legal Assistant - Family Law

Location: Camp Hill, PAJob Type: Full-TimeCompensation: Competitive Hourly RateBenefits: Comprehensive Benefits PackageAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Assistant to support a busy legal team within a well-established law practice. This role will primarily support attorneys and paralegals working across Family Law, Civil Litigation, and General Practice matters.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong administrative and communication skills, and enjoy being a key part of a collaborative legal support team.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals across multiple practice areas.Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including receiving, opening, and distributing mail.Prepare, proofread, and transcribe legal correspondence, client communications, and engagement documentation.Maintain and organise both electronic and physical client files.Coordinate attorney calendars, appointments, meetings, court deadlines, and scheduling requirements.Assist with electronic court filings and document management.Communicate professionally with clients, courts, government offices, and other legal professionals.Answer and direct telephone enquiries.Process expense reports, credit card reconciliations, scanning, filing, and document production tasks.Record and maintain attorney time entries and billing information.Provide administrative coverage and support to other members of the legal support team when required.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of three years' experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role.Experience using PACER to access court records, pleadings, and docket information.Familiarity with state court filing procedures and county court systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.Successful candidates will demonstrate:Strong organisational and time-management skillsExcellent attention to detailProfessionalism and discretionA proactive and solution-focused mindsetStrong interpersonal and communication skillsReliability and accountabilityA collaborative approach to teamworkCommitment to delivering exceptional client serviceWhat's on OfferCompetitive hourly compensation.Comprehensive benefits package.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Opportunities for professional growth and skill development.Exposure to a diverse range of legal matters and practice areas.Long-term career progression within a respected legal practice.
