Java Developers - Remote

Sr. Full Stack Java Developer Apex Systems has multiple openings for Sr. Full Stack Java Developers supporting federal health enterprise systems. These are long-term contract positions that are fully work-from-home (permanently remote - not just temporarily). Compensation ranges depending upon years of experience, education level, and certifications.Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance as a condition of employmentRole: Sr. Full Stack Java DeveloperDuration: Long-term contract (3-5+ years expected)Location: 100% remote (company based in Bethesda, MD so will be expected to work EST hours)Responsibilities:Research, design, develop and maintain enterprise a large healthcare system using the JEE, Spring MVC, Struts 1.3+, Spring JDBC, Hibernate, Bootstrap, SOAP/RESTful, XML, PL/SQL, and more in an Agile environmentRequired Skills:8+ years of software engineering experience with an emphasis on JAVA development for at least 5+ yearsAbility to obtain a public trust clearance (requires permanent US residency status and clean background check)Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science or related areaExperienced with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards throughout all software developedExperienced with Java 7+, Spring MVC/ Struts, JDBC, Hibernate, Eclipse, Web Services (XML, SOAP/RESTful, Apache CXF) and GitUnderstanding of database querying in SQL (Oracle & PL/SQL preferred)Basic understanding of UI technologies (JavaScript, etc.)Basic experience with deployment (CI/CD, AWS, etc.) is preferred
