Electrical Engineer

The pay range for this position will be $28 to $34 per hourPosition SummaryThe Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting electrical systems and components to meet company and customer requirements. This role ensures systems are safe, reliable, and cost-effective while supporting ongoing operations, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for equipment and facilitiesCreate and maintain electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentationSupport installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systemsPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failuresCollaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and engineeringEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations (NEC, OSHA, ASME, etc.)Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and cost performanceAssist with vendor selection, equipment specifications, and procurement supportSupport preventive maintenance programs and reliability initiativesProvide technical support for production and field issues as neededQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field requiredExperience3–7 years of experience in electrical engineering or similar role Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments preferredMicroprocessor / microcontroller hardware design and programming.C++ and /or Assembly languages.PC interfaces: USB/SerialPrinted Circuit Boards using Protel, Kicad, etc.Experience in Excel / Word - producing technical / procedure documents.Some Experience in:Electronics, Analog / DigitalProtocol CommunicationsTechnical SkillsProficiency in electrical design and schematic software (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar)Strong understanding of:Power distribution systemsControl systems (PLCs, VFDs a plus)Electrical troubleshooting and diagnosticsKnowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, ASME) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsCore CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAttention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective communication and teamworkAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesContinuous improvement mindsetPhysical & Work EnvironmentCombination of office and field/plant environmentMay require walking, standing, and working around equipment
