Code Ninjas aims to empower the next generation of innovators through exciting and educational experiences.Role DescriptionWe’re looking for energetic, tech-savvy, and inspiring Summer Camp Coding Counselors to join our team! If you love working with kids, are passionate about STEM, and enjoy gaming, coding, or digital creation, this is the perfect summer job for you.As a counselor, you’ll lead week-long camps where kids learn skills like game development, robotics, 3D modeling, and more...all while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.ResponsibilitiesCoach & mentor 10–15 campers each week in engaging, hands-on STEM and coding activities (Minecraft, Roblox, LEGO Robotics, 3D modeling, etc.).Create an awesome experience where kids feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.Assist with setup & tech support, including troubleshooting devices and helping students log in.Keep things running smoothly by helping with organization, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.Communicate & collaborate with the Camp Director and fellow counselors to ensure each day is a success.Participate in paid training the weeks of May 25–29 to prepare for summer camps.Lead camps between June 8 and August 10 (Monday–Friday). Typical shifts are 8:00 AM–12:00 PM or 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM.Counselors should be available for the majority of the 10 weeks of camp, preferably 8 of the 10 camp weeks.QualificationsExperience with technology, coding, robotics or gaming:For example: MakeCode Arcade, Minecraft Modding or Redstone, Roblox Game Development, LEGO Robotics, 3D Printing, Digital Art, Stop Motion, or Video EditingStrong communication and leadership skillsA problem-solver who adapts quickly and thinks on their feetComfort with technology setup and troubleshootingExperience working with kids ages 5–14 (babysitting, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.).Ability and patience to work with children of differing learning styles and abilities, including neurodivergent learners.A team player who’s enthusiastic, dependable, and brings positive energy every dayMust be fun, flexible, and ready to make an impact!Job Type: Part-timeBenefits:Flexible scheduleExperience:Tutoring or teaching: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location:In person at our SF Stonestown locationPay: $20 - $25 per hour
