These positions are for people early in their cyber careers (0 to 5 years of experience) who want to do meaningful technical work on real federal and commercial projects. Not a bench seat. Not a year of onboarding before you touch anything real. You will work alongside experienced MC3 team members on compliance readiness assessments for commercial clients, cybersecurity analysis and documentation for infrastructure projects involving building control systems, risk management documentation, and IT/OT security architecture review. The mix of assignments will depend on your background and what you are ready for. MC3 invests in developing people and puts you on progressively more complex work as you grow. Multiple openings.ResponsibilitiesCompliance and Assessment Support: support compliance readiness assessments by gathering evidence, mapping client environments against NIST 800-171 assessment objectives, drafting findings and action itemsHelp prepare risk management documentation packages including system security plans, control assessments, and plans of action and milestonesResearch products, configurations, and compliance requirements as needed for active engagementsTechnical Analysis and Documentation: assist with cybersecurity analysis on infrastructure projects, review control system specifications, identify applicable security controls, document findingsDocument system architectures, network diagrams, data flows, and security boundaries for client environmentsContribute to MC3's internal tools, templates, and knowledge baseProject Coordination: participate in client meetings, site assessments (occasional travel within Hawaii and the Pacific), and internal technical reviewsTrack deliverables, action items, and follow-through on active engagementsCoordinate with team members across technical disciplinesQualificationsRequired: foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (CIA triad, access control, network security, vulnerability management, incident response)Familiarity with at least one of: NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, or the Risk Management Framework (classroom or certification-based knowledge counts)Ability to read and understand technical documentation, specifications, architecture diagrams, product data sheetsStrong written and verbal communicationCuriosity about operational technology and control systems (HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, electronic security, utility monitoring); no OT experience required, interest in learning how these systems work and why they matterSelf-motivated and comfortable working remotely with support from the teamPreferred Backgrounds: cybersecurity or information assurance, IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux administration, networking, Active Directory), ICS/SCADA/OT environments, military or defense-related technical environments, GRC tools or compliance platformsEntry or mid-level certifications (CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Network+, or similar) are a plus but not requiredConnection to Hawaii or the Pacific region is valuable
