Auto Painter Helper

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Auto Painter Helper to join our automotive repair and restoration team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in auto body repair, painting, and vehicle maintenance within a professional dealership environment. The role involves assisting skilled technicians with various tasks related to auto painting, detailing, and bodywork, contributing to high-quality vehicle restoration and customer satisfaction. Duties Assist with vehicle preparation for painting, including sanding, masking, and surface cleaning Support auto painting processes such as airless paint spraying and buffing to achieve smooth finishes Handle heavy lifting of parts and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment under supervision to perform repairs and refinishing tasks Assist with , detailing, and touch-up work as needed Support mechanics with basic vehicle maintenance tasks when required Follow safety protocols at all times during work procedures Requirements Prior experience or background in auto body repair is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of auto painting, buffing, and paint correction techniques is a plus Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment Mechanical knowledge related to auto maintenance and repair processes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Good customer service skills for interacting with clients when necessary Basic understanding of auto estimating processes is advantageous but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented attitude Prior auto detailing skills are beneficial for growth within the role This position provides valuable experience in the automotive industry while supporting the team in delivering exceptional vehicle repairs and restorations.
