Parts Associate

Duties
Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts and accessories for their vehicles, providing expert advice on automotive diagnostics and repairs
Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts shelves using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Process sales transactions accurately through POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit, and other payment methods with professionalism
Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to ensure timely order fulfillment for vehicle repairs and maintenance
Conduct regular stock checks, reorder parts as needed, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels using retail math principles and Microsoft Excel for data tracking
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with effective communication skills and friendly phone etiquette
Support dealership marketing efforts by promoting available parts specials or promotions to customers
Post automotive parts for sale on online platforms (eBay, website, marketplaces, etc.)
Manage online part listings, pricing, descriptions, and photos
Respond to online customer inquiries and process orders
Communicate with vendors, dealerships, and suppliers
Receive, check in, and organize parts deliveries
Keep parts area clean, organized, and efficient
Assist with estimates and repair orders as needed
Skills
Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair processes
Proven experience in inventory management, stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory control systems like CMMS
Excellent negotiation skills to assist customers effectively while maximizing sales opportunities
Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases more effectively
Familiarity with retail sales environments, POS systems, cashiering, and retail math principles
Exceptional organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and keep the workspace tidy
Effective communication skills for engaging with customers, team members, and vendors professionally
Experience with dealership operations or automotive service environments is highly preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting related to inventory or sales metrics
