Vice President, Market Access Consultant
Overview:Our cllent is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Market Access Consultant to support a growing biotechnology/oncology company preparing for commercialization. This fractional leader will play a critical role in shaping and executing the market access strategy to ensure optimal payer coverage, patient access, and reimbursement for upcoming product launches.Key Responsibilities:Develop and refine the overall market access strategy, including payer, provider, and patient support initiativesLead pricing and reimbursement strategy, including value proposition development and evidence requirementsProvide guidance on payer engagement strategy across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channelsSupport development of HEOR and value dossiers (e.g., AMCP dossiers)Advise on distribution, specialty pharmacy, and channel strategyPartner cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Finance teamsAssess and build patient support programs, including HUB services and access servicesPrepare leadership for payer advisory boards and key stakeholder engagementsIdentify risks and opportunities related to coverage, coding, and reimbursementQualifications:10+ years of experience in Market Access, with significant leadership experience in biotech or pharmaceutical organizationsProven track record supporting product launches, preferably in oncology or specialty therapeuticsDeep understanding of U.S. payer landscape, reimbursement pathways, and pricing strategyExperience working in early-stage or pre-commercial organizations strongly preferredStrong strategic thinking with hands-on execution capabilityExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsIdeal Candidate Profile:Has led or played a key role in at least one successful product launchComfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environmentAble to quickly assess gaps and implement practical solutionsBrings an established network across payers, consultants, and market access vendorsEngagement Goals:Establish a clear, executable market access roadmapEnsure readiness for payer engagement and reimbursement pathwaysSupport successful commercialization planning and execution
