Overview
Our client is hiring a Client-Facing Software Delivery Manager to serve as the operational "captain of the ship" across pre-sales support, proposal development and budgeting, internal initiatives, and light-touch leadership of our client's software engineers embedded at client sites. This newly created, high-visibility role is designed to bring structure and execution discipline to a fast-moving environment. Early in the role, responsibilities will lean toward pre-sales and marketing enablement—bridging clients, engineering, and go-to-market teams to turn discovery into clear scope, predictable delivery, and consistent client communication.
While our client's current delivery model is primarily staff augmentation, this role is intended to strengthen end-to-end delivery discipline and support the company's evolution toward broader project-based and solution delivery services.
Responsibilities
Partner with the BDR/Sales function to support technical discovery and clarify customer requirements when conversations exceed the BDR's technical depth.
Draft and coordinate proposals/SOW inputs, pricing models, and forecasts; ensure internal alignment before customer-facing delivery.
Attend in-person client meetings/lunches as needed with the President and/or the sales team.
Bring order to ambiguity: create project plans where none exist, establish templates, and introduce lightweight operating rhythm suitable for a small business.
Maintain regular check-ins and relationship touchpoints with consultants embedded at client sites to support engagement, alignment, and client success.
Serve as the primary internal leadership point for the company's engineers, maintaining visibility into consultant experience, engagement, and career progression.
