The Proofreader will review and refine written materials for accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style, ensuring clarity and consistency across all content. Day-to-day tasks include checking documents against guidelines or style sheets, flagging inconsistencies, and providing clear feedback to writers and editors. The role may involve working on a range of content types, such as marketing materials, reports, web copy, and client communications. The Proofreader will collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement of content processes.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in spelling and grammar to ensure error-free and polished content.Candidates should possess advanced proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency.Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with writers, editors, and stakeholders.Candidates should possess basic translation awareness or experience, especially when working with multilingual content or localized materials.Strong command of written English and familiarity with common style guides (e.g., APA, Chicago, or house style).Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects concurrently.Comfort with using word processing and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, project management platforms).Relevant experience in proofreading, editing, or content quality assurance; a degree in English, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
