BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
TNCC certification preferred

Active Iowa RN license required
Job Details:
Shift Type = Nights
Shift Hours = 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Assignment Length = 13 Weeks (03/09/2026 – 06/07/2026)
On-Call = None
Weekend Requirement = Every other weekend (EOW)
Holiday Rotation = Required if holiday falls during contract (Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day)
Patient Ratio = Per Stepdown/Telemetry standards

Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking a skilled Stepdown/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Unit at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. In this role, you will provide care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level acuity support. The RN will assess, monitor, and manage complex medical and post-cardiac patients while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. This position requires strong telemetry interpretation skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Stepdown, Telemetry, or Med-Surg experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
NIHSS certification required
TNCC certification preferred
Active Iowa RN license
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
Experience caring for post-cardiac and complex medical patients
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
Provide care for cardiovascular and stepdown-level patients
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
Document patient care accurately and in compliance with hospital policies
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required
