Medical Assistant – (Part-Time)Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM CST Location: Remote Employment Type: Part-Time Compensation: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support a telehealth and care management program in a structured, high-volume outreach environment.This role blends traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with phone-based patient engagement. The majority of the shift will involve outbound patient outreach, appointment scheduling, and documentation; however, candidates must also be comfortable performing core clinical support duties in a remote setting.This is not an in-clinic position. The work is conducted remotely and requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and comfort working within defined performance metrics.Core ResponsibilitiesPatient Outreach & SchedulingConduct high-volume outbound and inbound patient calls during scheduled shiftSchedule Annual Wellness Visits and care management appointmentsProvide professional patient education regarding preventive servicesMeet daily outreach and scheduling performance targetsMedical Assistant Support DutiesPerform medication reconciliation with patientsUpdate medical histories, allergies, and preventive care gapsCollect and document patient-reported vitals when applicablePrepare charts for provider reviewEnsure accurate documentation within the EHRSupport care coordination and follow-up activitiesCompliance & DocumentationMaintain HIPAA compliance at all timesAccurately document all patient interactions in the EHREscalate clinical concerns to supervising providers as appropriateWhat This Role RequiresComfort making 50–80 patient calls per shiftStrong phone presence and ability to engage Medicare-aged patientsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environmentExcellent multitasking and documentation skillsProfessionalism and resilience when handling objections or voicemail-heavy outreachQualificationsMedical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare experience requiredPrior experience in a medical office, primary care, or care coordination settingPrior call center experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems preferredExperience working with Medicare populations preferredIdeal Candidate ProfileSelf-motivated and disciplined in a remote settingComfortable with performance metrics and call volume expectationsDetail-oriented and clinically accurateReliable and punctual for scheduled shiftAble to balance patient empathy with efficiency
